Thimphu TechPark houses Bhutan’s first international standard Data Centre designed and built as multi-tier facility – tier 2 and above, as per TIA 942/UI.
The Data Centre: provides data storage and management services for government, for occupants of Thimphu TechPark and for third party commercial users. It is designed and built to Tier II Data Centre specs as classified by Uptime Institute (upgradable to Tier III, based on demand for such services) but full operationality depends on tenant’s detailed specifications. Some of the key features of the Data Centre are as follows:

• Bhutan’s first international standard Data Centre
• Colocation, back up and storage or disaster recovery services
• Located inside the LEED Platinum certified Thimphu TechPark
• Initiative supported by the Royal Government of Bhutan
• Lowest power cost across globe, optimal climate and 100% hydropowered – zero carbon
• Operated by Data Centre Services Private Ltd., a joint venture between Burland Technologies of the UK and New Edge Technologies of Bhutan
