The development of Thimphu TechPark was managed by a group of accomplished real estate professionals who are experienced in real estate development strategy, planning, design, construction, investments, building management systems, marketing and sales from both Bhutan and abroad led by Assetz Property Group, Singapore and Druk Holding & Investments, Bhutan. The operation phase of the Tech Park started in May 2012. The current management team also harnesses several years of relevant experience in the corporate sector.

Passang Dorji
Chairman, Thimphu TechPark Ltd.
Mr. Passang Dorji is the Chairman of Thimphu TechPark Ltd. He holds a full time position as the Director of the Department of Investments in Druk Holding and Investments (DHI). In this capacity, he heads business development, projects and private sector division in DHI. He has an Engineering Degree from Thammasat University, Thailand and a MBA Degree from Asian Institute of Management, Philippines. He has a PG diploma in Management Information System and Management Control from MSM, Netherlands.
He started his career in the private sector, then moved to Bhutan Power Corporation and was the Company Secretary prior to joining Druk Holding and Investments. Passang is on the Board of Bank of Bhutan and previously, he has served as a board director in Bhutan Telecom and State Trading Corporation of Bhutan.

Dorji Nima
Board Director, Thimphu TechPark Ltd.
Mr. Dorji Nima is a Senior Analyst responsible for Corporate Performance at DHI. Before that, he worked as an Analyst for DHI’s Consulting Services Unit for more than two years. He has a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship, Melbourne, Australia. He received RGoB scholarship to pursue Bachelor of Business Administration in Madras University, India in 2001.

Karma Sonam Dorji
Board Director, Thimphu TechPark Ltd.
Karma Sonam Dorji, Senior Analyst in DHI, Under Department of Investments. Responsible for Private Sector Development projects and Coordinator for all Japanese investments. Also assigned as a Board Director for Thimphu TechPark Ltd. (TTPL). Ms. Dorji worked in the government for 10 years, before joining DHI, as a Senior Trade Officer heading the Export Promotion and as Project Manager for EC-Bhutan Trade Capacity Development. Was a Task Force Member involved in formulation of the Economic Development Policy of Bhutan and Committee Member for Foreign Direct Investment Review Committee and Industrial Project Appraisal Committee. Also Looked after the Bilateral and Regional Trading Arrangements (India, Bangladesh, Nepal, SAPTA/SAFTA and BIMSTEC). Was also a key Member of the Negotiating Team for Bhutan’s accession to the WTO when the process was in progress. She has an MBA in International Business and Management from Hanzehogeschool, University of Applied Sciences, Groningen, The Nethelands. BA in International Business Administration from Reitaku University, Japan. Also trained in Trade Promotion Strategies at the International Trade Institute, Singapore, WTO Trade Policy at the World Trade Organization Training Institute in Geneva, Switzerland and Multilateral Trading System for Asian Developing Economies at UNESCAP, Bangkok, Thailand.

Tshering Cigay Dorji
CEO and Board Director, Thimphu TechPark Ltd.
Dr Tshering Cigay Dorji has a Masters and Ph.D in computer engineering (informatics) from the University of Tokushima, Japan, and Master of Management from the University of Canberra, Australia. He has about 15 years’ combined experience in programming, teaching, information system design, database administration, research and senior level management in the corporate sector. His first degree was B.E. Electrical Engineering (First Class Honours) from the University of Wollongong, Australia, awarded in December 1999. He has previously worked with Bhutan Telecom for several years as system and database administrator, research engineer and head of Billing & International Affairs.

Choden
Office Manager, Thimphu TechPark Ltd.
Ms Choden, also known as Sonam to her friends, is the Office Manager for Thimphu TechPark and Bhutan Innovation and Technology Centre. She graduated with Bachelors in Computer Applications from India and subsequently worked as the Bureau Manager in Phuentsholing for Bhutan Times. Her strengths are in marketing, public relations and office administration. She has undertaken a six-week training course on ‘Social Entrepreneurship & Corporate Social Responsibility’ at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad, in 2013 and another three-week training on ‘Social Partnership for Business Development’ at Aarhus Tech, Denmark, in June 2014.

Karma Tshewang
Finance Officer, Thimphu TechPark Ltd.
Mr. Karma Tshewang graduated with a BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) degree majoring in Finance from Gaeddu College of Business Studies, Royal University of Bhutan, Bhutan, in 2013. He has served as a Councillor in his college besides taking up other leadership roles during his school days, and is a hard-working individual and a team-player.
